Strengthening the Church in the Comfort of the Gospel
The Master of Divinity/Bachelor of Divinity program is designed to prepare men for a call to the Ministry of the Word. The program equips the student to meet educational requirements as detailed in the Constitution of the Reformed Church in the United States. The program consists of 116 credit hours of study in Biblical, Historical, Doctrinal, and Ministerial Studies. The program provides a biblically faithful and confessionally reformed preparation which does not neglect preparing graduates to serve the church with sound practice and genuine piety. A mature student without an undergraduate degree may be admitted to the program and, upon completion, receive a Bachelor of Divinity degree. There is no difference in content or coursework between the two degrees.
The Doctor of Ministry degree program is offered to ministers of the gospel who already hold a Master of Divinity degree (or its equivalent) and have been ministering for at least four years. The program is designed to further equip the minister by deepening the understanding and practice of ministry as the minister pursues his calling in the church. The eight required courses are intended to be vocational-relevant and useful in ministry. Completion of the course will require the writing of a dissertation.
The language studies program is designed to prepare potential M.Div. students by offering them the opportunity to complete the language portion before enrollment in seminary or even college. The program is even open to mature high school students and may be accepted as a fulfillment of the language requirement at the high school level.
The seminary classes are open to those who desire to learn but who are not interested in pursuing a degree. Auditing students are not required to complete the coursework, but benefit from the classroom instruction. No academic grade is given, and no academic credit is earned.
