As I reflect on my recent trip to the Philippines, there are a number of thoughts which come to mind. The experience was both richly rewarding and a real struggle. Dealing with long flights, extreme heat, different food, along with a very taxing teaching schedule is not at all easy. Yet, I have found that to be able to teach Reformed doctrine to men who are hungry for this training and to develop a close relationship with these students make the trip very worthwhile.
The dominant thought, which keeps coming back to me, is the stark contrast of experiencing a totally different world.
