April 2019 Issue of the Heidelbrief is Now Published

Easter is coming. It’s not here yet, but it’s coming: this celebration, observed around the world, that proclaims the epic blood-wrought victory of Jesus over the power of death and hell. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the everlasting Hero.

When we attend church on Easter, we’re reminded of these invisible realities. Because a church sanctuary, while beautiful and important, is not our destination. Jesus is. Jesus is our Lord, our Provider, and our final destination — and that’s what we can celebrate at Easter: thanks to Him, we have the promise of life to come… with Him.

Enjoy this week’s issue of the Heidelbrief, where you’ll be reminded of exactly that. Also inside is a brief history of how Easter was established on the church calendar, notes on our work in the Philippines, and a special invitation for pastors.
